Ophav – Morsingboen Anno 2025 (Origins – Residents of Mors 2025) provides a unique and beautiful insight into belonging and identity on Mors and among Morsing residents in the past and present.
This project is a collaboration between photographer Luca Berti and cultural historian Christiane Klindt Baumann, who traveled around the island by bicycle in 2024, interviewing and photographing the people of Mors. Museum Mors enriches the story by placing today’s residents in a historical context, drawing on archival images and artefacts.
The final project results in the book publication and a special exhibition at Dueholm Monastery in 2025. In both parts, Luca Berti’s black-and-white images are supplemented by historical photos and objects from the museum representing the island and the Morsingboen through time, and connecting past, present, and future across the island.
The exhibition was created with support from the Augustinus Foundation and the Aage and Louis Hansens Foundation.
Edited by Museum Mors and published in 2025.
Format: 144 pages, hard-cover, 29×30 cm.
